The current Indian market is flooded with smart TVs, ranging from the budget segment to the premium segment. As such, it’s quite difficult to stand out in the sea of similar-spec TVs. Here, the Xiaomi TV S Mini LED is trying to stand out with its high-brightness Mini LED TV experience at a significantly lower price, making it one of the most affordable large-screen TVs in India 2025.
The 75-inch Xiaomi TV S Mini LED is great for movies, sports, and console gaming. Now, if you compare it with similarly priced LG or Samsung TVs in the same price range, Samsung models usually cost twice as much. So, is Xiaomi TV a good buy, or a compromise? Well, let’s find out in this detailed Xiaomi TV S Mini LED review.

Setup and Installation
The setup process of this Xiaomi smart TV is handled directly by Xiaomi. Once the TV is delivered, we would recommend not opening the box since the installation team takes care of everything. However, one thing I felt disappointed about is that the wall mount is not included inside the box, even at this premium price. It needs to be purchased separately, which will add to your cost.

The TV comes with two stand placement options, which is genuinely useful because it can fit both wide and compact TV units easily.
But if you have kids at home, wall mounting feels like the safer option since the weight distribution on the stand does not feel as balanced as it should.
Here, metallic stands would have added more stability and would have matched the premium pricing better.
On the bright side, the bezels on the Xiaomi TV S Mini LED are almost nonexistent, which gives it a clean and immersive look. Also, all the ports – except for the power outlet – are placed on one side, so accessing them is easy even after wall mounting.
Design and Build
Talking about the display, you get around 512 local dimming zones here. These dimming zones help improve black levels significantly. So in scenes that are mostly dark with just a small bright object, cheaper TVs usually spread that light everywhere, but that does not happen here.

The 1200 nits peak brightness was also noticeable during regular daytime usage. Even though most demos are usually shown in studio lighting, when I used the TV at home in daylight, the brightness and contrast ratio still looked excellent. So, whether you are watching content in a dark room or a bright one, visibility is not an issue here.
Plus, it supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate when connected to a PlayStation 5. So if you are someone who enjoys playing PS5 games on a large TV, this TV will be a good pick.

You also get 1080p and 1440p support at 120Hz. I was genuinely impressed with the overall experience, whether it was gaming or watching movies.
This TV has a VA panel, so there is some colour distortion at extreme viewing angles. But if you ask me, we seldom watch TV from such sharp angles anyway.
What I liked is the solid motion handling, especially while watching sports or fast-moving content. In short, everything stays smooth.
For movies, I felt that it is better to switch motion smoothing off because otherwise the visuals start to feel slightly artificial.

Interestingly, the TV also comes with a built-in Filmmaker Mode, which keeps the colours and sound closer to the original vision. Along with Dolby Vision support, the overall movie-watching experience feels even better.
Audio and Sound Quality
With the Xiaomi TV S Mini LED, you get a total of four speakers here and a combined 34W RMS output. For regular usage like watching movies, YouTube, or TV shows, the sound output is pretty solid. But realistically, most of us usually do not push the volume much higher anyway, so loudness itself is not an issue here.
Now, here I am nitpicking. But I did notice that the punchy low-end bass was slightly lacking, especially when watching movies. So if you really want that cinematic home theatre experience with this large screen, investing in a soundbar for a large screen TV would definitely make a noticeable difference, especially for deeper bass and more immersive audio.
Operating System and Experience
The Xiaomi Mini LED Android TV runs on Android 14 out of the box, which is good to see. But if you ask me, the processor and RAM combination felt slightly constrained, as the TV is equipped with only 2GB of RAM. And this limits overall multitasking performance and smoothness.
If you look around, the Lumio Vision 9, for instance, is already offering 3GB RAM in this segment.

The processor used here does not feel the snappiest either. So, if you start using the TV heavily, you will occasionally notice small jitters and slight delays while opening apps or navigating through the interface.
Right now, since it’s a new TV, the occasional jitters and delays are completely manageable. But over the next 3 to 4 years, these slowdowns could become more noticeable, especially with future Android and Google TV updates. So if you plan to keep this TV for 5 or 6 years, you might eventually need an external streaming device like a streaming box or an Apple TV for a smoother experience.

That said, for current-day usage, the experience is still perfectly fine. I just feel that TV manufacturers now need to focus as much on processors and RAM as they do on display panels and sound quality since software smoothness plays a major role in the long-term smart TV experience and overall value.

Should You Buy the 75-inch Xiaomi TV S Mini LED
This concludes our Xiaomi TV S Mini LED review. So, should you buy it? At this price point, I found the Xiaomi TV S Mini LED 75-inch really impressive. And if you are planning to invest in such an expensive TV, I would personally recommend getting the extended warranty with accidental damage protection as well. It gives you peace of mind for the next three to four years, especially with a large premium TV like this.
Let us start with the cons first. Thankfully, there are no major deal-breakers here, but there are a few areas where the experience could have been better. The processor and RAM combination feels slightly underpowered for a TV in this segment, especially for users who expect consistently smooth long-term performance.
Small details like the plastic stand and the absence of a wall mount inside the box also stand out. At this price point, expecting a complete and premium package is only natural, and these are areas Xiaomi could improve in future launches.
If you are a hardcore gamer looking for a large-screen TV, this is a great option. You can connect your PlayStation 5 and enjoy games like God of War Ragnarök smoothly at 120Hz, or even enjoy watching the IPL on a big screen – the experience is genuinely enjoyable. Overall, it is an easy recommendation for anyone looking for an affordable Mini LED TV experience; it’s a much cheaper Mini LED TV alternative to Samsung and LG.
