The Vivo X300 FE has a metallic frame with a frosted glass back that feels premium in hand. One thing I genuinely appreciate is that it does not attract fingerprints the way most glass backs do. At 190 grams, it fits comfortably in one hand without feeling too light or cheap.
The camera module is not bulky either, so the phone lies flat on a table without wobbling, which is a small thing, but I always notice it.

Display

I was a little worried about heating, because compact phones tend to struggle with thermals. However, even when outside temperatures were around 40 to 42 degrees, it stayed manageable.
Though you might notice slight warmth during long gaming sessions or extended camera use, it is not uncomfortable.

The rear setup has a 50MP primary with a Carl Zeiss lens, a 50MP telephoto, and an 8MP ultrawide.
Daylight shots from the primary camera were detailed with strong dynamic range, though the colours do lean slightly saturated. If you prefer a more natural look, that is worth keeping in mind.
Colours are slightly on the vibrant side instead of perfectly natural, which some users may not really appreciate.
That said, the telephoto lens is genuinely impressive. It stays sharp at 3x and gives usable results even at 10x. Portrait shots looked quite good as well. Moreover, the 50MP front camera also has autofocus, which makes a real difference for selfies.
So, whether you are shooting portraits or casual photos, the output is consistently reliable.
However, there’s a slight catch. The ultrawide lens felt like a letdown to me. While it works, it simply does not match the quality or impact of the other two lenses.
Looking at the overall aspects of the phone, the camera setup is mostly a strength, with the ultrawide being the one obvious weakness.
Battery and Software
A 6500mAh battery in a phone this compact is genuinely nice. With regular use, you can get around seven to eight hours of screen time, which can easily stretch to a day and a half.
Also, the 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging mean topping up is quick. And it also supports USB PD charging, so you are not always stuck using the original adapter.
On the software side, you also get five years of OS updates and seven years of security patches. Now, this is a big deal if you plan to keep this phone for the long term.
