Step 1: Open the Google Docs app, open the document where you want to add the signature, and hit the Pencil icon to enter edit mode.

Step 2: Now, tap where you want the signature, then tap the + (Plus) button at the top toolbar and choose Image.


Step 3: Select the image of the signature from your phone’s gallery. Once the signature appears in the doc, drag the corners to resize and drag the image to position it like a real signature line.

How to Insert Signature in Google Docs on iPhone or iPad
When it comes to iPhones and iPads, pairing Google Docs with Apple’s Markup tools gives you a smooth signing flow.
Step 1: In the Google Docs app, open your document, tap the three dots, and choose Share & export > Send a copy as PDF.


Step 3: Open the PDF in the Files app and tap the Markup icon as shown in the screenshots below. Next, choose Add Signature and sign with your finger or Apple Pencil.


Step 4: Once you have dragged the signature into position, tap Done. Now, share or save the signed PDF back to Files, Mail, or another app.

Alternatively, you can use the following method to add a signature on iOS, just like Android.
Step 1: Create a signature image using Markup (Notes/Photos) or any e-sign tool, then save it as a PNG to your Photos app.
Step 2: In the Google Docs app, open the document, tap the pencil, then tap on the (+) Plus icon and select, Image > From Photos.
