Lumio Vision 9 Review: Impressive Mini LED TV With One Catch

The premium TV market has become extremely competitive over the last few years. Brands like Samsung, LG, and Xiaomi already dominate this segment, so whenever a newer brand enters the market, the expectations are usually lower. And that’s what I thought before trying the 65-inch Lumio Vision 9 QD MiniLED. But after using this 144Hz Mini LED TV India for movies, gaming, sports, and regular daily content, I was surprised.

Here is my honest, first-hand Lumio Vision 9 Mini LED TV review on all aspects of this 144Hz Mini LED TV India.

Installation and Design

One of the first things that caught my eye while unboxing the Lumio Vision 9 TV was the metallic stands. While it seems minor, let me tell you that in this segment, plastic stands have become the norm. As such, it says a lot about how the brand takes build quality. Do note that the wall mount for the Lumio Vision 9 TV is not included. That said, if you call their technician, they can provide the wall mount separately for an additional charge.

Coming to the design, the Lumio Vision 9 actually feels premium, thanks to the negligible bezels and the overall look afforded by the metallic stands. So whether you place it on a table or wall-mount it, the Lumio Vision 9 features a very clean and modern look.

Display and Ports

The Lumio Vision 9 features a 4K Quantum Dot Mini LED panel with 95% DCI-P3 colour coverage. Additionally, it supports HDR and Dolby Vision, so streaming content on platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video looks excellent.

I found the peak brightness of 800 nits more than enough during regular usage. Even when the room was well-lit, visibility was not an issue for me. And because this is a Mini LED TV, the black levels and contrast ratio look genuinely impressive in darker scenes.

If you play competitive eSports games regularly, you will notice how much everything feels smooth on this 144Hz Mini LED TV India. Note that the refresh rate can reach 240Hz when gaming at 1080p. Plus, gaming is smooth and responsive throughout.

Another key feature that I loved is that the motion handling of Lumio Vision 9 is also very solid. Whether it is sports, fast-moving action scenes, or racing games, this smart TV handled them all without noticeable blur, and the smoothness was easy to notice during regular usage.

Processor and RAM

The Lumio Vision 9 features the MediaTek Pentonic 700 processor and is paired with 3GB RAM. Compared to many other Android TVs in this segment, this one feels noticeably smoother right out of the box. App opening times, navigation, and responsiveness feel much better during regular usage.

And if you ask me, TV brands in India now seriously need to move beyond 2GB RAM. I have been reviewing TVs for years, and most brands are still stuck there. Personally, I hope more brands start offering at least 4GB RAM in the next generation of TVs because when consumers buy TVs, they usually buy for the next 5-7 years.

With 4K content becoming heavier along with more AI features and smarter software experiences, TVs will naturally need more processing power over time, like the Lumio Vision 9. A good processor and enough RAM are going to matter a lot more in the coming years, and I think brands should start focusing on this area just as much as they focus on display quality.

Brands should start focusing on RAM and storage just as much as they focus on display quality.

Coming back to Lumio Vision 9 QD MiniLED, it runs Android 14 out of the box and also includes several AI-based features. For example, you can simply ask it to show movies featuring Amitabh Bachchan, and it pulls up relevant content in seconds. If you ask me, the software experience feels modern, smooth, and easy to use.

Sound Quality

Surprisingly, you get a 50W speaker setup with woofers that slightly protrude from the back panel. Once the TV is wall-mounted, the sound reflects off the wall and creates a much fuller and more immersive audio experience.

In fact, I could genuinely notice the difference between using Lumio Vision 9 on a table versus mounting it on a wall. The sound feels richer, louder, and more cinematic after wall mounting, especially while watching movies or action-heavy content.

Should You Buy the Lumio Vision 9

I did not find many major issues in my Lumio Vision 9 2026 review. For the price, you get a really good Mini LED panel, a high refresh rate for gaming, and genuinely impressive sound quality. The metallic stand and frame also make the design feel premium, which adds a lot to the experience.

So, if you are planning to buy the Lumio Vision 9 QD MiniLED TV, I would still recommend getting the extended warranty or accidental damage protection if the company offers it. Lumio is still a relatively new brand compared to companies like Samsung, LG, or Xiaomi, so buying it does feel like a slight leap of faith right now.

Pros
  • Excellent Mini LED display
  • Smooth 144Hz gaming support
  • Strong motion handling
  • Premium metallic stands
  • Powerful 50W speakers
Cons
  • Wall mount not included
  • The brand service network is still relatively new
  • 4GB RAM would have been better for long-term usage

But apart from the above, if I purely talk about the hardware, there are very few real complaints here. If Lumio Vision 9 fits your budget, I would simply say go ahead and buy it.
