A detective is not sure if he should trust her or suspect her. It is based on a novel by Alice Feeney and came out in January 2026. The ending has a twist that shocked a lot of viewers, myself included.

It easily deserves to be on the best thriller series on Netflix 2026 list, and you will know why once you complete it. Rated 18+ for disturbing scenes and violence.

4. Bridgerton

My guilty pleasure, and I am not even a little ashamed. Set in old London high society, Bridgerton is full of grand ballrooms, drama, romance, and just enough scandal to keep you hooked. The outfits alone are worth watching for. Bridgerton keeps doing well because each season follows a different sibling and their own love story, so it always feels a little new.

If you enjoy slow romance stories mixed with a bit of political drama, Pursuit of Jade is worth trying. It is a Chinese historical drama, originally called Zhu Yu. It follows a butcher’s daughter who marries a nobleman for some domestic reasons and slowly starts falling for him. Then war tears them apart, obviously. Forty episodes sound like a lot, but you will not notice the time passing.

It came to Netflix on March 6, 2026, and has become one of the best Netflix series to watch for people who enjoy strong character chemistry. Rated TV-14, it’s suitable for teens, though some mature themes may not be for younger viewers.

7. Maid

This last one is different from the rest. Based on a real memoir, Maid follows a young single mother who escapes an abusive relationship and works as a house cleaner just to survive and take care of her daughter. It is honest, simple, and does not try to wrap everything up neatly at the end.

Out of every show on this list, this is the one that stayed with me the most, simply because it feels so real. Rated 16+ for emotional and difficult themes. Keep tissues nearby, seriously.
