After the Samsung Galaxy S26 series was launched earlier this year, Samsung is planning to add the Galaxy S26 FE to the lineup. The Fan Edition (FE) series has always been a favourite for the budget-conscious tech enthusiasts and is expected to launch in the second half of 2026.

Several leaks and rumours are circulating about the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE. Here’s a look at what’s been rumoured so far.

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is tipped to arrive with a large 6.73-inch AMOLED display and featuring a refresh rate up to 120Hz. Other than that, the screen will have FHD+ resolution and support HDR10+. Well, displays have never been an issue with Samsung phones, be it the flagship versions of the budget smartphones.

Under the hood, the Galaxy S26 FE is rumoured to be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset. Now, this chipset is built on 3nm technology and will be further paired with 8GB of RAM. Needless to say, this smartphone will run One UI 9 out of the box.

On the camera front, the triple rear camera setup may pack a versatile triple rear camera setup, and will include a 50MP primary sensor, paired with a 50MP ultrawide lens and an 8MP telephoto shooter.

Additionally, the cameras will support 8K video recording and 4K 60fps video. On the front, there can be a 12MP to 16MP punch-hole camera for selfies and video calls.

Now, the thing that Samsung never changes and is a disappointment for users like me is the battery. The Galaxy S26 FE is expected to pack a 5,100mAh battery with 55W fast charging support.

One surprising feature is that the Galaxy S26 has a smaller 6.3-inch display with higher resolution and 12GB RAM versus the Galaxy S26 FE, which has a slightly larger 6.73-inch screen but less 8GB RAM.

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE: Just Another Iterative Update?

Based on the rumoured specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE appears to be a modest upgrade at best. With the India pricing expected to sit around INR 65,990 and no change in battery capacity, it’s hard to see what would particularly excite enthusiasts.

This is especially true when smartphone makers are setting the benchmark with high-capacity batteries. Take the Vivo Y600 Turbo, for example, which will have a whopping 9,020mAh battery.
