After the recent leaks around the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8, Samsung is ready to unveil the new Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 at its July 2026 Unpacked event.
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is generating buzz as the next evolution in rugged smartwatches, promising AI-driven upgrades and potential 5G connectivity.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 retains a rugged 47mm titanium case with a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display and sapphire crystal protection.
If we talk about durability, it features IP68 dust resistance and 10 ATM water resistance, which is ideal for diving or hiking, with customizable Quick Button and band options like Marine or Trail.

Storage doubles to 64GB, which will be paired with 2GB RAM, while tracking sensors include ECG, blood pressure, antioxidant index, and advanced PPG for precise tracking.
Samsung has introduced a major upgrade, replacing Exynos W1000 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset, which claims to have a powerful Hexagon NPU for on-device AI.
On the connectivity front, it supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0, UWB, and NB-NTN satellite connectivity.
Other than that, rumours point to built-in 5G as Samsung’s first, enabling standalone calls and data without a phone, which helps in boosting independence for remote activities.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will feature a 590mAh battery, targeting 48-100 hours depending on mode, plus 50% charge in 10 minutes.

Software runs One UI 9 Watch on Wear OS 7, with Galaxy AI enhancements like Energy Score, sleep apnea detection, and Functional Threshold Power for cyclists.
Some other features include Dual-band GPS, fall detection, and Emergency SOS return, with potential skin-based glucose monitoring on the horizon.
Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will be priced around $650 (INR 65,000 in India), matching the predecessor, with LTE/5G variants.
You can also avail deals via Samsung trade-ins, which could halve costs, especially bundled with Galaxy phones.
This successor builds on the Ultra’s strengths, emphasising AI and endurance for extreme sports.
Launch Timeline
Several rumours hint towards a possible launch at Samsung’s Unpacked event, which is expected to be scheduled in July 2026. Samsung will also unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Flip 8 foldables at the same event.
Market release is expected shortly after announcement, likely late July, maintaining Samsung’s rapid rollout pattern.
