Realme is set to begin the new year in India by launching the Realme 16 Pro+ in the first week of 2026. The device is scheduled to launch on January 6, 2026. The launch event will begin in India at 12 PM and will be livestreamed across Realme’s YouTube channel and social platforms. The device availability is expected via Flipkart, Realme’s official store, and offline partners.

Realme 16 Pro+ Specifications
Realme has confirmed a 6.8-inch 4D curved OLED panel on this new 2026 smartphone. It will come packed with peak brightness up to 6,500 nits and will have support for HDR10+. On the processor end, the Realme 16 Pro+ will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and will be further paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB internal storage.
The device will run on Android 16 out of the box, skinned with Realme UI 7.0, with Realme promising up to three major Android updates.
The Realme 16 Pro+ features a 200MP primary camera with optical image stabilization and is backed by Realme’s AI Portrait engine. These two factors will focus on improved human-centric photography and creative portrait filters.
Other than that, the camera system is completed by a periscope telephoto and an ultrawide lens, while a high-resolution selfie camera sits in front, with support for up to 4K video recording.
Like most of the upcoming smartphones of 2026, this one will pack a bigger battery as well, with the Realme 16 Pro+ featuring a 7,000mAh battery. It will be further accompanied by 80W wired fast charging. It is worth noting that Realme is positioning this smartphone as a full-day-plus endurance package for heavy users.

Realme 16 Pro+ Launch and Pricing in India
While there are still no updates on the pricing of the device, it will be revealed at the launch event. However, some rumors and leaks suggest that it will be a mid-range phone, and the base variant will be priced at around INR 31,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant in India.
With these specifications, Realme plans to provide a smartphone with a large battery and competitive mid-range specifications, positioning it as a rival to smartphones like the Motorola Edge 70 and the Vivo V70, which fall within the INR 35K range.
