Just after the launch of Nothing’s Community Edition in India, the company is back in the limelight, and all for good reasons. While Nothing has not officially confirmed, reports suggest the company is preparing to launch its new smartphone, the Nothing Phone (4a) series.
Expected to arrive by March 2026, the standard model of the series was certified recently in the UAE’s TDRA and India’s BIS under code A069. These database entries indicate that the phone has cleared the necessary approvals to be sold in these regions, and are usually a strong indication that a smartphone is about to launch.
As of now, the Nothing Phone (4a) sightings at the databases signal an India launch around March 2026. It is worth noting that the Nothing Phone (3a) was released in March 2025.
Other than that, a Pro variant — with upgraded features — is also expected to join the series, as it was spotted in the EU’s EPREL listings.
Nothing Phone (4a) Series Specifications (Rumoured)
Needless to say, the new series is expected to have upgrades over the predecessor, Nothing Phone (3a).
The Nothing Phone (4a) series is rumoured to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7-series chipset for both models, with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
If we talk about the display rumours, they point to a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.

The smartphone is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 64MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, it could feature a 50MP sensor for selfies.
The battery capacity is expected to be around 5,000-5,500mAh with 50-80W charging support. If we go by the recent reports, the Nothing Phone (4a) series is expected to run Nothing OS 4.0 on Android 16.

Nothing Phone (4a): Pricing and India Focus
Although no official information has been released for the Nothing Phone (4a), the leaks and rumours suggest that the base variant will cost around INR 25,000 – INR 30,000.
The Pro variant can cost you between INR 30,000 and INR 40,000 with eSIM support on select models.

Conclusion
If the rumoured specifications are true, the Nothing Phone (4a) series will give tough competition to mid-range phones in the INR 25K–30K price range. However, I would have liked to see a bigger battery, as most recent smartphones or upcoming smartphones have batteries that hover in the 7000mAh range, even if they are in a lower price range.
That said, we will keep a close eye on official confirmation regarding the Nothing Phone (4a) series and keep you updated.
