NASCAR 26 Pre-Orders Begin: Everything You Need to Know

Brief Overview

  • NASCAR 26 launches on September 18, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam.
  • Pre-orders for the game began on July 29, 2026.

The upcoming season is packed with new game launches, and NASCAR and iRacing Studios just stepped into the race. They released the official gameplay trailer for NASCAR 26 on July 29, 2026, while pre-orders for the game also went live the same day.

The new title arrives on September 18, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam.

NASCAR 26 New Features

The trailer highlights dynamic track technology, which lets racing conditions change as the event goes on. Rubber builds up on the track surface, while grip levels, debris, lighting, and weather shift throughout a race weekend, prompting players to adjust their approach as conditions evolve.

Moreover, the driving model has also been reworked. iRacing Studios says the game will include upgraded tyre and braking systems, better force feedback and controller calibration, smarter computer-controlled opponents, and a new 750-horsepower rules package.

Visual upgrades shown in the trailer include improved lighting, sky effects, replay cameras, smoke, and particle details.

Other additions include cross-platform multiplayer, letting players on different consoles and PC race together, along with burnout celebrations after wins. A standalone mode built around The Chase and a new training mode called Peak Performance are also part of the package.

Cover Star and Series Lineup

Kyle Larson is the cover driver for NASCAR 26. The game keeps the four-series format from last year, covering the NASCAR Cup Series, O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, Craftsman Truck Series, and ARCA Menards Series, all featuring real drivers.

NASCAR 26 Pre-Order

Fans can now pre-order NASCAR 26 through the official website. Two editions are available:

  • Standard Edition– $59.99
  • Gold Edition– $79.99

The Gold Edition includes extra perks such as three days of early access starting September 15, four monthly paint scheme DLC packs, 1,000 career mode rep points, and a $10,000 career mode bonus.

What Officials Are Saying

Nick Rend, NASCAR’s vice president of interactive and emerging platforms, said fans had asked for iRacing Studios to take over building the console game, and the studio delivered.

He added that the response to NASCAR 25 showed growing interest in NASCAR video games. According to him, NASCAR 26 moves things forward with upgrades across the entire experience, from how the cars handle and race to the new modes added this year.

Other than that, he also pointed to the dynamic track system and driving model changes as proof of iRacing’s long-standing goal of building an authentic racing experience for fans.

NASCAR 26 Release Date

NASCAR 26 launches on September 18, 2026. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam.

This follows the same rollout pattern as last year’s NASCAR 25, giving players on consoles and PC access on the same day.

Ready To Race?

NASCAR 25 marked the franchise’s return to consoles and PC after NASCAR 21: Ignition. While it received mixed reviews, it was still viewed as a welcome comeback for the sport in the gaming world.

iRacing Studios, known for its realistic racing simulations, is now building on that foundation with NASCAR 26. It aims to make it the most authentic NASCAR experience released on console so far.

With the trailer out and pre-orders open, fans have about seven weeks to wait before the game launches on September 18, 2026.
