Motorola recently teased users with a social media post about its new ultra-premium smartphone lineup, aptly named Motorola Signature. Based on the teaser, it appears that the brand is set to enter the premium flagship segment in India with this lineup. India will be the first market to have this phone, with the Motorola Signature’s launch date expected in early January 2026.
It’s worth noting that Motorola unveiled the Motorola Razr 60 in India in 2025. While these smartphones did not pack flagship-class processors, they offered premium touches such as a stylish flip-fold design.
Moto Signature Features and Specifications (Rumoured)
The Motorola Signature is said to feature a 6.7-inch OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Leaks also point to slim bezels and a centred hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. This is yet another Qualcomm-powered device from Motorola, with reports suggesting the Signature flagship could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. It will be paired with up to 16GB of RAM.

In addition, storage options are tipped to go up to at least 512GB, with higher-end variants possibly reaching 1TB. The device is also expected to run Android 16 out of the box.
Rumours suggest that the device could feature a triple rear-camera setup, including a Sony Lytia primary sensor with OIS, along with a periscope telephoto camera.
India-First Launch and Expectations
Motorola has confirmed that the Motorola Signature will launch in India on January 7, 2026. The tie-in with Flipkart suggests that Motorola is positioning the device firmly in the online premium segment, directly taking on rivals such as Samsung’s Galaxy S series, Xiaomi’s Ultra flagships, and OnePlus’s top-tier offerings, including the OnePlus 15 and the upcoming OnePlus Turbo 6 series.

Based on the speculation so far, this appears to be Motorola’s foray into the Indian flagship smartphone market. If the pricing is right and the rumoured specifications hold true, this could be one of the most exciting non-foldable Motorola phones in years for Indian buyers.
