OnePlus Announces the Turbo Series with a Focus on Gaming

On its 12th anniversary, OnePlus announced the Turbo series, a new lineup focused on gaming with a long-lasting battery and a slim design. OnePlus China President Li Jie Louis shared on Weibo that the series is set to roll out in early 2026.

The OnePlus Turbo series is expected to consist of two models — Turbo and Standard. Let us look at the rumoured specifications of the OnePlus Turbo series.

OnePlus Turbo Series Specifications

The OnePlus Turbo is expected to come with Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and support 165fps gameplay in popular games. Leaks suggest it will have a 6.7-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1600 nits.

When it comes to cameras, the OnePlus Turbo is expected to feature a 50MP main lens with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 16MP front camera. Additional features may include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, IP68 water and dust resistance, and standout gaming modes through OP Gaming Core.

According to OnePlus, the key feature that will set the OnePlus Turbo apart is the massive silicon-carbon batteries across the lineup. The base variant is speculated to pack a whopping 8000mAh battery cell, with several rumours suggesting that the higher variant will pack a massive 9000mAh cell. These will be further paired with 100W fast charging support. 

The OnePlus Turbo is expected to run on Oxygen OS 16/ColorOS 15 on Android 16, with some additional AI perks like Game Camera and Splash Touch.

India and Global Rollout

With the OnePlus 15R launching on December 17, the Indian gamers are eyeing the OnePlus Turbo series, which is likely to launch in Q1 of 2026. As per some leaks, the pricing is teased around the price range of INR 40,000 for the 8GB/512GB variant. The series could spawn Turbo variants of Ace 6/6T globally, expanding beyond China with NFC, IR blaster, and 5G bands tailored for markets like India.

With the OnePlus Turbo series, the company is trying to power devices without compromising and making them gaming-friendly for the users. Let us wait for the official announcement of the series to be sure about things. Though the OnePlus Turbo series launch date has not been announced yet but we are expecting it to be out in Q1 of 2026.
