Brief Overview
- Meta launched Ray-Ban Meta Audio, its first-ever audio-only smart glasses.
- Meta’s AI agent, Muse, is coming to smart glasses for hands-free help with tasks and daily life.
- Meta also revealed a new lightweight VR headset called Meta VR Glasses.
Meta used its Connect event this week to show off its biggest push yet into AI-powered wearables. The company’s main message was that its personal AI agent, Muse, should be with you throughout the day, not just on your phone or computer.
Meta also unveiled new glasses, a new VR headset, and several updates to its existing products.
Ray-Ban Meta Audio
Meta announced Ray-Ban Meta Audio, its first-ever audio glasses. They are built for listening to music and podcasts, taking calls and talking to an AI assistant, all without a screen or camera getting in the way of the world around you.
At just 43 grams, they are Meta’s lightest AI glasses so far. The battery lasts up to 12 hours, and the included charging case adds up to another 48 hours.

They come in two styles, Clubmaster and Burbank, with 23 colour and lens combinations. Pre-orders open today from $349, with shipping on October 13.
Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3)
The third generation of Ray-Ban Meta glasses is slimmer and more comfortable, with a longer battery life of up to nine hours.
A new customisable action button gives quick access to Meta AI, and a six-microphone array cuts out most background noise, so calls stay clear on busy streets.

The glasses have a 12MP camera and can record 3K video. They come in three styles, Aviator, Zena, and Wayfarer, and Meta is also releasing a limited-edition Aviator to mark the 90th anniversary of the Ray-Ban Aviator.
Prices start at $449, and the glasses are available now.
Muse Goes Wearable
Muse is Meta’s personal AI agent, and Meta says it will soon come to its AI glasses. You can activate it hands-free by saying its name, and it can help with tasks, calendars, and building habits.
Meta also said Muse now supports voice and real-time video conversations.

The company is also rolling out private processing for Meta Glasses, so that not even Meta staff can access user information collected by the device.
More Meta Glasses
Meta is expanding its Meta Glasses collection with two new styles, Capri and Nova.
A new collaboration with global star LISA brings custom case charms and digital photocards, and a new Kylie Jenner colourway called Ivory starts at $399.
Meta is also launching its most affordable pair yet, the Meta Adventurer with a plug-in case, at $249.
The glasses will be available in more countries, including Singapore, South Korea, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates, with Brazil coming soon.

Meta VR Glasses
The biggest surprise was Meta VR Glasses, a lightweight headset weighing about 100 grams and costing $1,299. Meta says it delivers an IMAX-style cinema experience along with full spatial computing.

It also supports immersive live sports, including college football through ESPN, with more sports planned for next year.
Era of Smart Glasses
Meta’s message was clear: the company wants AI to be part of everyday life.
With more than 100 glasses styles expected by the end of the year, Meta is betting that people will want an AI assistant on their face, on their ears, or in a headset.
