Amazfit Launches Helio Strap Pro for HYROX and Hybrid Training

Brief Overview

  • Amazfit has launched the Helio Strap Pro, a screen-free two-sensor wearable built for hybrid training and HYROX races.
  • The device pairs an arm sensor for heart rate with a waist sensor for movement and stability, giving athletes a fuller picture of performance under fatigue.

Amazfit recently released a new screenless wearable called Helio Strap Pro. It is designed for people who do hybrid workouts and compete in HYROX-style races.

Amazfit is a wearable tech brand owned by Zepp Health. The company displayed the device at the HYROX World Championships in Stockholm.

The main highlight of the Helio Strap Pro is its screenless design. It uses two small sensors worn on different parts of the body to collect data during training.

Here’s a closer look at the device and what makes this screenless wearable stand out.

Amazfit Helio Strap Pro Specifications

The Amazfit Helio Strap Pro uses a dual-sensor setup.

One sensor sits on the upper arm and is called Helio Core Motion HR. Its primary job is to track heart rate. Since it is placed near the heart, it can reduce inaccuracies caused by wrist movement, gripping, or contact with gym equipment.

The second sensor is worn around the waist and is called Helio Core Motion Waist. This one tracks body movement, posture, and balance while a person trains.

By combining data from the arm sensor, waist sensor, and a smartwatch, the system provides a detailed picture of how the body performs during a workout.

Built Around HYROX

HYROX races include eight movements: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmer’s carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls.

These involve a lot of gripping and floor contact, which is exactly where wrist trackers usually struggle.

Right now, the waist sensor only works during HYROX Race and HYROX Simulation modes. Moreover, it works with only two watches, the Amazfit Balance 3 and Balance Ultra.

Outside of those specific modes, the waist sensor turns off and does not track anything else, including basic activity or health data. So normal gym workouts or CrossFit sessions do not get any benefit from it yet. Though Amazfit says wider support is in planning.

On the other hand, the arm sensor is more flexible. It works on its own across more than 50 sports modes, even without the waist sensor or a compatible watch.

What Stayed the Same

Much of the hardware is carried over from the original Helio Strap.

Both versions use the same BioTracker 6.0 sensor, the same 232 mAh battery, magnetic charging that takes less than two hours, water resistance rated at 5 ATM, and a 22mm nylon band that fits wrists between 145mm and 205mm.

The new Pro version adds the waist motion sensor, a skin temperature sensor, and a new feature called LifeLoad.

Amazfit Helio Strap Pro Price

The full Helio Strap Pro set costs $199.99, which translates to about INR 18,953. This set includes both sensors, the wristband, the armband, the waist clip, and the charger, but it is about double the price of the original strap.

It became available for preorder in the US, with shipping expected around June 25, 2026. Besides, there is no subscription needed to use it.

The availability of this device in India is yet to be confirmed by Amazfit.

Should You Buy It

All the data goes into the Zepp App, which shows a breakdown of cardio effort versus muscle effort after a workout, along with feedback on each station.

Reviewers say the device is best suited for people who train specifically for HYROX. The waist sensor gives a new kind of muscle load tracking that most wearables cannot do.

For everyone else, however, the upgrade over the original strap is relatively minor, making the value right now less compelling.
