We are in a month packed with new smartphone launches, and Redmi is among the many brands gearing up to unveil their latest devices. The company, which recently launched the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro+ in India, has launched the Turbo 5 Max in China

The Redmi Turbo 5 Max is a mid-range smartphone and is expected to feature MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500s chipset. It’s worth noting that this chipset is a recent addition to MediaTek’s Dimensity lineup and was announced on January 15, 2026. It will be the first phone to feature this chipset.

Redmi Turbo 5 Max Specifications

The display features a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, combined with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and a peak brightness of up to 3500 nits.

As mentioned above, the Redmi Turbo 5 Max will be packing the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset. This octa-core chipset is built on a 3nm process and is paired with the Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU, with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.

At the same time, the dual-camera setup has a 50MP Light Hunter 600 main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens, supporting 4K video recording at 60fps. As for the selfie shooter, there’s a 20MP lens for video calls and selfies.

On the connectivity front, the Redmi Turbo 5 Max supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a handy IR blaster. Plus, the dual stereo speakers support LHDC 5.0, which is good.

Pricing and India Release

The Redmi Turbo 5 Max is priced starting at CNY 2,199 (INR 29,000) for the 12GB/256GB variant, going up to CNY 2,799 (INR 37,000) for the 16GB/512GB variant. Sales have already begun in China.

While there has been no official confirmation from the company regarding the Redmi Turbo 5 Max’s India launch, we can expect it to be around March 2026.
