LG recently unveiled an AI-powered home robot, LG CLOiD, that will be displayed for the first time at CES 2026, which is scheduled in Las Vegas from January 6-9, 2026. The company aims for a “Zero Labor Home” vision. The robot will be useful for basic daily household chores through robotics and smart home integration.
With its dual arms and wheeled base, CLOiD aims to tackle real-world tasks like laundry folding, dish handling, and appliance coordination, learning user habits along the way.

Hardware and Capabilities
If we talk about the design, CLOiD features a human-like design, with a head unit housing an AI chipset, display, speaker, cameras, and sensors for voice interaction and facial expressions.
For matching human mobility, the robot will have five independently actuated fingers for precise gripping. The wheeled base enables autonomous navigation across kitchens, laundry rooms, and living spaces, picking up objects from knee height and above.
Other than that, demos showcased CLOiD starting washers, folding clothes, retrieving oven items, cleaning dishwashers, and delivering meals, coordinating via LG’s ThinQ ecosystem and ThinQ ON hub. This robot has been trained on thousands of hours of task data, and it recognizes appliances, interprets intent, and executes actions like opening doors or transferring items.
