Realme P4x vs Vivo T4x: Budget 5G Smartphones Showdown

Realme recently launched the P4x 5G in India, with a large 7000mAh battery with the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset. On the other hand, Vivo’s T4x 5G was released a bit earlier with a 6500mAh battery with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300, also starting from the same price range.

Naturally, this begs the question — how does the Realme P4x compare against the Vivo T4x? Well, worry not. We will pit both devices against each other and see who stands out as a powerful choice for the price range.

Processor Specifications

The Realme P4x comes with a 6.72-inch FHD+ IPS display, a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. As mentioned earlier, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset and is available in multiple storage variants, including 6/128GB, 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 8/512GB.

At 6.72 inches, Vivo’s T4x offers the same FHD+ IPS panel. However, its refresh rate tops out at 120Hz, and on the bright side, it delivers slightly higher brightness at 1,050 nits. Under the hood, the Vivo T4x runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset and comes in an 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. Like the one above, it also uses the same UFS 3.1 storage standard.

Camera Specs

When it comes to the camera, the Realme P4x comes with a 50MP primary camera, which can shoot 4K videos at 30fps and slow-motion 1080p videos at 120fps. On the front, it sports an 8MP selfie camera for that can capture and make video calls with ease.

50MP cameras are the flavor of the season, and the Vivo also equips its T4x phone with a 50MP main lens. This one can support 4K recording at 30fps. This camera module is further paired with an 8MP front camera.

Needless to say, both smartphones offer a familiar imaging setup on paper. Naturally, the in-house tuning and processing differences will definitely play their part in producing slightly different results in real-world use.

Battery Life

One of the standout features of the Realme P4x is its massive 7000mAh battery. The large size, when paired with 45W fast charging, means you will have a phone that not only lasts all day but also charges quickly. Naturally, this proves to be a big advantage for heavy users and travellers.

In comparison, the Vivo T4x houses a slightly smaller 6500mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. While it still offers solid endurance, the T4x’s battery life falls a little short of the Realme P4x’s impressive battery size.

Misc

Beyond its core hardware, the Realme P4x also packs a few premium extras, especially for the price. For one, you get stereo speakers, an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance. The best part is that the 5300mm² VC cooling chamber keeps things cool, especially during gaming and multitasking. It’s worth noting that still a little rare at this price point. Lastly, it runs Android 15 with Realme UI 6.0 on top.

The Vivo T4x also brings a useful set of additions, such as an IR blaster for remote control functions, stereo speakers, and an IP64 rating. However, it doesn’t come with an integrated VC chamber but does have an optimized cooling system to help the device stay cool. However, it will remain to be seen how it handles real-world heavy tasks. That said, it also ships with Android 15 out of the box.
