Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold: Specifications That Matter
If we talk about the size, it has a thin size of 3.9 mm; even after the TriFold, the phone seems to be slim. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform, which is tailored for this phone specifically for this phone.
More importantly, the main display is a 10.0-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a peak brightness of 1,600 nits and a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, while the cover screen is a 6.5-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a peak brightness of 2,600 nits and a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate.

The battery is a 5,600mAh cell with three panels aimed for power delivery with a 45W fast charging support. Interestingly, the battery has been placed in each of the 3 panels of the device. Again, I would say the battery is a bit lower than the other specs and the expected price range for this phone.
On the rear, the Galaxy Z TriFold carries a 200MP wide-angle lens, paired with a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera with PDAF. The cover display houses a 10MP selfie camera, while another 10MP front camera sits on the main screen.
Even after the TriFold, the device weighs 309 grams. Samsung’s main aim behind the multi-fold display is to unlock a new level of multitasking. When you open the device, you will be welcomed with three portrait-sized windows running side by side.

As per Samsung, this device is mainly for multitasking purposes, whether you are working on a design plan, chatting with someone, or browsing the web, all of this can be done on the same screen setup.
Other than that, Samsung DeX on this device is a first, offering a standalone workstation environment that supports up to four workspaces with five apps each. It also connects with an external monitor easily for a dual-screen desktop experience.
I can say that the design looks really interesting and innovative, taking multitasking to a new level, but I would say that now it is time that Samsung made phones with a bit larger battery cell, particularly for this price range and the technology they are offering.
Because if you look at the number of screens and the amount of multitasking that you would be doing, a 5,600mAh battery appears to be a bit on the lower end. And now, with even budget smartphones ready to offer up to 7000mAh battery, I think it’s high time that this smartphone giant also starts to focus on the power inside.
Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold will be available starting December 12, 2025, in Korea and other select markets. The new buyers will benefit from a six-month trial of Google AI Pro. Let us see how the new design works in the market.
